New Owner for Patronics International

July 2004

Patronics International of Plymouth, Devon announced the sale of the company to Mark Meyrick.

Mark Meyrick, formerly Operations Director for Patronics nine years previously returns to the company after working for internationally renowned companies such as Kawasaki and Alcoa where he held senior management positions.

Mark takes up ownership and the position of Managing Director at the company and has ambitious plans for the future. The already steep growth curve of the company is set to continue with the aim of doubling turnover in less than 5 years. The transition to lead free manufacture is being pursued to make Patronics process compliant by July 2005 - one year in advance of the legislation. Additional manufacturing facilities are being investigated with a view to establishing a Gateway Service to low cost regions as well as plans to build a manufacturing facility in the Czech Republic.

Mark said, "Investment will continue in people and equipment. We are already looking at automatic optical inspection as well as x-ray for BGA inspection as well as a new wave solder machine to take lead free alloy".
